I thought that this was fixed, at this point, since SUN now has AMD 64 binaries.
... But I, for the life of me cannot figure out how to get JAVA up and running with openSUSE 11.0.
I can't follow the steps for 10.3 because the layout of the file system has changed.
Why can't I get this running?
Help?
You know this is not a support list for released versions? The sun binaries don't include a browser plugin. Nothing changed here... You basically have these options: - Install 32-bit Firefox + 32-bit Sun Java - Use IcedTea1.7 or openjdk 1.6 which have 64-bit plugins, but don't work with all applets. - Use Konq which can use 64-bit Sun Java without a plugin. - Complain to Sun Microsystems --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
