What about voting to remove apper? >:-) I already removed it :D
I usually leave it because I like the automatic reminder that there is an update, then do it with YOU. But I remove it at the first nuisance - and in my factory test partition I removed it. Actually, I renamed the binary. The problem is that YaST asks apper to quit, but it doesn't. After three attempts killing apper or packagekit and it resuscitating, I renamed the binary. No more problems. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
