If you ask me? Tried them both.. Because the yast-network-module doesn't save the config, nor automatic, nor manual, nm cann't find the wave, the wireless-card configuration is not present..
I can confirm this in b4. Traditional ifup will not recognize nor setup a wireless card. It also doesn't ask for any wireless config info, (SSID, type of security). Nor does it save any manual setup info. Every time I go back into network card setup the wireless card is gone.
Then please report a bug and add the YaST log files, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Director Platform/openSUSE, aj@suse.de SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
