And with Tw 20150430, Darktable 1.7.0+ and shotwell run as expected. But I have no idea why :^? I am thankful.
Weird.
I fixed a libgphoto2 bug that might have caused this, but it was checked in only yesterday.
No matter what effected the solution, although that knowledge would be very interesting, the result is much appreciated. The git version(s) of darktable is so much better than the published 1.6.4 and 1.6.6, and much more usable.
At least for shotwell I have to say the fix is not there yet - I have seen occasions where it starts (probably somewhat based on weather and moon conditions) and often it does not...
Marcus' fix that's on the way (currently in Staging D is supposed to fix that one.. until then, it is a bit a random gamble.
Maybe a simple difference between boxes or a package on one and not another as I have not noticed any failure or misadventure since darktable from git became usable again for me. tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
