You do not need to login as root to the desktop to do it. Nobody does it that way if they can avoid it. One of many ways: open a terminal, like xterm, konsole, whatever. Inside type "su -", and do not forget the dash. Enter the root password when asked. And then type "yast2 &" and there you have.
Well, if it was that simple i would have done it already. It is mobile partner software, for a huawei modem. The ndis drivers did not install, because they were valid until 112, and arch changed a bit, so the kernel files needed, were on another location, so these drivers did not install, but the ui pops up every time i plug in the device, but can not connect due to the missing drivers. I want to get rid of it. It is not regular, i had to compile it. I do not know what is the command for 'uninstall' so i can not activate the script to do it.
