Hi,
I did a fresh install of Leap 42.2 RC2 from USB-Stick with update repositories enabled. Quite surprised to see that KMail 5.3.0 was installed by default - was the idea not to keep 4.14.10 (or so...)?
If I have this right in mind, there is a difference if you UPDATE from 42.1 or if you do a new install.
An upgrader will keep version 4.x and a new install will get 5.x; If you don't upgrade, there should be no problem in getting the newer version.
I don't understand this. A correct system upgrade should get the exact same version as a fresh install. That has been my experience during many years of SuSE/openSUSE upgrades. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)
