Trying to run zypper on factory (beta3+) I get :
Metadaten von Repository 'factory' abrufen [\]Datei '/suse/setup/descr/dvd-11.1-55.1.i586.pat.gz' nicht auf dem Medium 'http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/' gefunden.
Abbrechen, wiederholen, ignorieren? [A/w/i]: The media provides http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/suse/setup/descr/dv d- 11 .1-55.4.i586.pat.gz, which is a newer version. Is there any workaround to convince zypper to use the newer one ?
Just try again. There was a new sync which has just finished 10 minutes ago (had lasted 1 hour).
Problem still exists. No update for that file on gwdg. yet. There is still the 27-Oct-2008 03:41 version . And why does it try to use the .i586 file ? This is a x86_64 system.
As said earlier: use download.opensuse.org
download.opensuse.org is unusable, too. It's content file is 0 bytes. Another sync seems to be started, now. I fear, I have to wait until tomorrow for the next update.
Not only that, but it's worse: the suse subdirectory contains only "src" and "setup". Thus, something's seriously broken in the generation of the Factory tree. As far as I can see, the internal machine which generates the tree seems to have a problem - so the tree on download.o.o was emptied at 18:37, when it was updated from there. You might be able to use widehat.opensuse.org as replacement for the moment; it still has the tree, and I disabled its syncing for now so that it isn't emptied too.
