*snip* Just to reduce the length and fuzz I deleted the whole thread. After checking this in depth myself there are few facts that Michal decided politely to ignore. First and utmost is that Martin created the sr# like any other contributor which was then accepted to the project. Funny thing is that the accepter is actually also PACKAGE maintainer, not just project maintainer, so nobody violated any rule about project maintainer abusing package maintainer. Then he spents almost entire email complaining about arbitrary changes to the spec file that he didn't agree on and basically deride Martin's changes because he feels they are not same like he would do them. That is seriously ugly thing to do over public channel, and if one really feels like doing so he should first actually clarify with the author of the changes privately via email/irc/whatever rather than start a full blown flame on 2 mailinglists at once. Especialy since his co-maintainer actually approved the changes, thus he should first speak with him to figure out why/what was done. I would say now Michal should come forward and apologize for actually starting flamewar that was based on basically completely false claim. One part of Michal's complain has merit regardless of wether there was something wrong done or not. We should've had already docummented what are roles and responsibilities of packagers and project maintainers. For that I will create a wiki page that will try to explain the difference and expectations. Later on we could even get OBS to implement the rules written there with some checks so noone could by accident breakt them. But for that we would need to bribe the OBS with cookies. :-) I will write this wiki draft Today in the evening (CEST) or Tomorrow in the afternoon.
