I started kmail in valgrind which prints out a long list of errors immediately at startup, all of them seem to refer to QtWebEngine and OpenGL, maybe an expert knowing the source code should have a look at it. I'm using the nouveau graphics driver, but don't have currently the Mesa-dri-nouveau package installed, according to the latest recommendations in this list and from zypper.
Any hints how to repair this or whatever else to provide which can be helpful for a further analyze?
Got to update my own answer: I did install the Mesa-dri-nouveau (on an Optimus hardware) and restart the system. After that, KMail works and shows all mails immediately.
