I am wondering why it seems on Tumbleweed "zypper dup" is told here to be the only right way to update something?
You can also use dup on Leap. After all, syncing to $blessed repository makes your local machine $blessed by definition, just like on TW.
Maybe you can, but you shouldn't. While the Beta is going on, the Beta should be updated with "zypper dup". When it becomes a final release, then you should switch to "zypper up". TW is considered a permanent Beta in this respect. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from Elesar, using openSUSE Leap 15.4)
