Carlos, are you saying the network installation does not work?? I've done a couple of those, it seems to work fine except for bug#807288 and bug#809843. They are both easily worked around.
(I use DVD installation, not network install) Well, yast failed to setup network during installation, it failed the test and could not download the release notes. Thus it also skipped the repository check and updates that it can do. In my case, I tried with a laptop and wifi. I configured ifup in yast, but after boot it was using NM. No wonder there was no network. You people are talking, I think, of ativating the repos at a much earlier stage, so that installation is pulled from netowrk sources if available instead than from the DVD, in order to correct known problems. I don't like that, either. It may work for those people with fast enough network. For others, it only makea sense to do it with crucial packages that impede initial boot, like a bad kernel. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
