Hi All, I'm using 12.3-ß1 and can't get Yast2 to set the NTP server. When I have selected the server (bigben.cac.wa.edu) and tested (which returned successfully) and then try to save the configuration it returns an error "Cannot adjust ntp service". This has been observed in all the 12.3 series, not just ß1. In perusing the log files I don't see anything pertinent to this problem.
I've tried installing RC1 but am having other problems during the installation process with build0024. Will wait for a further build.
Anyone have a suggestion on what I should do or where to look for a solution?
Thanks, Tom
What version of NTP are you using? I have 12.2 and was getting thet error with (bigben.cac.wa.edu) also. There was an NTP update a few weeks ago which fixed it. I just tested it again with Yast2 and NTP and it works fine. I am in the process of installing 12.3 RC1 in the next day or so.
Meanwhile you may want to insure its not a regression. Here's my version.
yast2-ntp-client-2.21.2-2.2.1.noarch ntp-4.2.6p5-3.14.1.x86_64
Russ (Moses Lake)
