LS,
When using an 4K monitor and yast2, I noticed that yast2 is using almost 3/4 of my screen with unreadable small characters. The only way to make it useful is to zoom in many times and to drag the window borders back.
Is there a setting so that yast2: a - use normal sized windows, and b - to use characters sizes to have readable text.
AFAIK, Qt applies a scale factor when it detects HiDPI resolution (> 110 aprox), see [1]. You can check the dpi of your monitor with: $ xrdb -query | grep dpi Low screen resolution in HiDPI monitors is a known issue in YaST [2]. Until now it has only affected to the installer. This is the first time I am aware of such an issue in an installed system. There are a lot different factors that could affect this. What Desktop Environment are you using? Are you using Tumbleweed, Leap? Is only YaST affected? What happens with other Qt application? An screenshot will be useful, too. Anyway, I encourage you to open a bug report and provide all this info. Thanks!
