yesterday I upgraded 2 machines from Leap 42.3 to the current snapshot of Leap 15.0 using zypper dup and it went very smoothly on both. But I noticed that wwwoffle is not part of the distribution anymore, and after checking I found it is also no longer in TW. I could not find a hint about this in the release notes. Are there recommendations for a replacement (squid, ...)?
wwwoffle. Many years ago, I did some funny things with it ;-)
# osc log -D openSUSE:Factory wwwoffle |head -n5 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- r36 | dimstar_suse | 2017-07-04 11:32:33 | e02b848e0bb03eabc6823be241048e93 | 2.9j | rq506258
Fails to build, quite useless these days. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The package still exists (including the build failures) in https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/server:proxy/wwwoffle so if someone cares enough to maintain the package and fix the build failure, it should be possible to bring it back ;-)
The fails aren't dramatic. * Missing user/group due to changes in how system users are created in Leap15 / TW * scripts in /etc/ppp (could be dropped, imho) So, update spec file and it should build again. - Yamaban. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
