This might make sense on touchscreen-only machines (Tablets, Phones), but the whole "sweeping" thing is unusable with a normal mouse. It's dead simple to use with a mouse... you just sweep it up; it's an effortless gesture. Maybe would be a tad annoying if I had to use a touchpad (or horror if a trackpad), but everything's annoying with a touchpad/trackpad and you can always hit Escape or Enter.
