Hi .
I seem to be having some problems with the version of OpenOffice supplied with 11.2Milestone2 (yes i know devel stuff) i can not show Tables in an MS office doc the headers and footnotes are all there just none of the tables .
Is this an Opensuse issue or an Openoffice issue ie where does one report it .
Pete .
Pete,
Don't feel bad, I am still having problems with oo3.0 in stable which hasn't worked right since the move to 3.0. Specifically MS word import formatting is horrible (word 97-officeXP, not the new format), text indents no longer work properly (you can move the indent marker in the ruler and nothing changes), template handling is messed up or crosswired (open template named A, and get template named B displayed) and a number of other frustrating little bugs.
Rest assured you are not alone....
Hi David well just got a mail on the main opensuse list seems it may be a formatting problem with page borders so i am going to have a look see
Pete .
Pete, Here is another issue with 3.1 to look out for. For some strange reason if you open a Word97 doc, the "indents" are all gone and the text is aligned to the left side of the page. No matter if you reset the paragraph to "Default" formatting and then set the indents again using either the "increase indent" function or the indent/hanging indent makers in the ruler, the text remains fixed on the left margin. Tabs are the only thing that will move you to the right. (This stuff even worked in WP4 on DOS) Dunno what's up with ooo3 right now, but there is a bunch of stuff screwed up. -- David C.
