Hello List Mates,
With all of the great software available to design a beautiful gui...
Why oh why did they choose the flat gui? A '90s design except for the Yast Partitioner? Ugh!
You seem to be confused. openSUSE is us not them. You're free to change openSUSE in whatever you want. Just plain, unconstructive bashing is pretty much disallowed. Thank you in advance.
Greetings, Stephan
Sometimes what comes out in text isn't the same as talking in person. And bashing was never my intention. Perhaps I should have rephrased it differently. This is what happens when you run out of coffee. :-) I have been using openSUSE since 2004. I'm a regular contributor to Bugzilla and the openSUSE forums since 2008. That being said, I'm trying to understand why the decision was made to have a flat look versus having a look that had more rounded edges. Since I'm not a developer, I'm trying to understand if this is the new design style for the next versions. I've tested Plasma 5 and the KDE devs have also gone with a flat look. Cheers!
