Good. So everyone agrees it is useful. Could someone finally explain, *how* it can be used during installation? :)
Hi Andrey, after starting from the installation media you first will see the "Welcome Screen" where you can choose Language and Keyboard Layout as well as read the License agreement. After Clicking the "Next" button you reach the "Installation Media" screen where you choose to either update an existing system or to install a new system. On this screen there is a check box labeled "Include Add-on Products from Separate Media". Check this checkbox. When you do this you will note, the list with installation steps on the left of the screen refreshes and now includes an additional step "Add-On Products". If you click the "Next" button you now will be presented with a dialogue similar to the YaST "Add Repository" dialogue in an already installed system. Here you can add the repositories you want. The "Community Repositories" in the list should include an entry like "Main Update Repository". (I didn't test with 12.3 or factory; the list does include the update repository in 12.2) If you check this, updates will be installed without installing the original packages from the installation media.
