Lets try something crazy :) Can you remove the kactivities5 package (only this one !!!). you can easily do it from a root konsole and then use the command "rpm -e --nodeps kactivities5" Do this before you login in to the KDE session ! Afterwards try to login again and see if now the desktop loads.
