Hi, We had this too. Win NT shares are not visibly advertised (although you can still access them by using the \\Hostname\path addressing). If you configure the share to advertise as a Win '95 share, then it will be visible on Windows Explorer (Network neighborhood) SWAT will allow easy configuration. I have the same problem here, my Linux machine running among a NT controlled domain does not appear on the browse list. I think this is because the NT machine hasn't been introduced to the Linux machine.....

If you are lucky (and I believe that it is just luck) then you will be able to type the machine name directly into the 'c:/windows' line on windows explorer. This saves having to set up a shared drive.

My machine does this, but many here don't, is this an option or is it hardcoded into whatever version of windows you have???

RUnnning SAMBA I have everything configured apart from the fact that the shares do not show up in network neighbourhood on the workstations. I can mount the sahres using 'net use' etc. Ant ideas?
