Anyone using XP clients on a Samba PDC? Would it be a true statement to say that group policies (as in gpedit) only work on an Active Directory, and that secondly Active Directory is very experimental (or hard!) with Samba? Thus group policies are out? I've googled this point, and can;t find a definitive answer (or at least accounts of this vary). That being the case, I can't seem to be able to find out if NTconfig.pol in [netlogon] would apply some restrictions with XP? Or whether to do the *whole* lot with mandatory policies, which seems feasible. So... using Samba, what's the best way to enforce some client settings across 50 XP workstations with 600 users? (At the moment, I use a combination of mandatory policies and config.pol on W98 with Samba). Thanks for any samba pointers. -- Matt ________________________________________________________________________ Want to chat instantly with your online friends? Get the FREE Yahoo!
