This weeks news, I have officially taken my new roll at os4ed.com. I am the community leader and product specialist for openSIS our core effort to supply schools throughout the world with a cost efficient, standards complaint, localizable student information management and reporting suite. I took this position because I know it is the best way for me to help further the goals of the server portion of the opensuse edu project. One of my first goals will be to learn how to set up a subversion repository or other community development location. I believe what I need is in the dev site at Novell but I am not sure of that. I am hoping to learn this quickly so I can start to recruit other fans of the open source SIS (student information system) idea. I am hoping to start the kind of development community for our core work on openSIS, so all suggestions are welcome and any help recruiting php developers and postgres to mysql specialists would be appreciated.
