* openSUSE-Edu-Live-Li-f-e is perhaps the only distribution with full suite of education desktop and server applications to run LTSP directly from a live session.
I think, we need a new CD-Layout for the Li-f-e media - adapted to the new Li-f-e branding. Can Samyak create such a CD-Cover? Or is someone else interested? SVG Images are available in SVN...
* Most comprehensive Sugar environment available over LTSP thanks to all the work of David(Nubae), more to come
Yes: David does a great job including Sugar into openSUSE - Thanks! Just one question: I like to start single applications without the sugar-emulator from my normal window manager (like KDE, GNOME). Is this possible?
* Jan weber is currently rewriting Easy-LTSP[2] GUI for LTSP management in python, the idea is that now more distributions may feel comfortable including it getting all the benefits we have been enjoying for some time now. Watch out for the Easy-LTSP-ng, get the source[3] if you would like to work on it. Feedback, suggestions always welcome.
@Jan: please have a look at http://www.augeas.net/ (openSUSE package is in Factory and zypp:Head for 11.1). Using this nice tool for reading/writing lts.conf, I think we can convince at least the Fedora people ;-) With kind regards, Lars -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-edu+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-edu+help@opensuse.org
