The `real' configuration file for sendmail is /etc/sendmail.cf On Mon, 5 Jun 2000, adrian.wells wrote:
I can make LINUX fall over! :-(
I have installed SendMail and set it up from YaST however, somewhere during the installation/setup I was asked for my modem which I supplied as TTY1 rather than TTS01.
So SendMail now tries to get mail from TTY1 ! Which after several tries logs you out and won't let you log in again (never gets to the password, just keeps prompting login) and workstations are unable to log in.
I have tried un-installing/re-installing SendMail in the hope of correcting the Modem Entry, but it doesn't ask me for the device any more. I have searched through the config files but can't find where the association is held.
SendMail is uninstalled at present - any ideas please?
