Hi all, last discussion about Contrib future ended up and there was nothing changed. So I propose to change the maintenance policy for Contrib on wiki and allow version updates in case of serious problems. But I'm unsure what in case if new package will require a new version of library distributed with openSUSE. What do you think about this case? This will have an advantage also for Factory, because opening of it is a big step in itself. So instead of changing a Factory development process and maintenance rules, we could use Contrib as an learning environment about community based repository (and what problems will appears if we allow the version updates ;-)). And if it will be reliable in future, we will merge Factory and Contrib to one repository.
