[opensuse-buildservice] Diable lint on a per-package basis?
I've set up my own OBS system; I've noticed that newer suse distros run rpmlint prior to package completion. I've found how to simply disable this check wholesale, but is there a way I can disable it on a per-package basis? -- Troy Telford ttelford.groups@gmail.com

Hi Why? If you add a BuildRequires; BuildRequires: -post-build-checks -- Cheers Malcolm °¿° (Linux Counter #276890) SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64) Kernel 2.6.27.45-0.1-default up 2 days 22:12, 3 users, load average: 0.19, 0.12, 0.10 GPU GeForce 8600 GTS Silent - CUDA Driver Version: 190.53 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

this is just plain wrong. really. the longer answer: 1. try to fix the rpmlint warnings. those are for quality and not just annoyance for packager. this is especially useful if you plan to submit packages to factory at some point. if you got questions how to fix certain issues, stop by on the opensuse-packaging ml. 2. you can disable (single) checks on per package base with rpmlintrc for details: http://en.opensuse.org/Packaging/RpmLint hth darix -- openSUSE - SUSE Linux is my linux openSUSE is good for you www.opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Believe me, I _know_. That's why I don't want to turn off rpmlint for the whole distro -- I want to fix the problems for packages I do have full control over. It boils down to corporate politics, ivory towers, etc. (I believe I mentioned my OBS is a private one...) There are a few packages I simply can't touch, and those are the ones with issues. -- Troy Telford ttelford.groups@gmail.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
