The only one I know of is krpmbuilder, but to be honest it is probably worth looking at the spec file of a similar package to yours and copy the main points and read up on the documentation[0]. I still to this day am learning after a couple of years of packaging :) Regards, Andy [0] http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service_Tutorial -- Andrew Wafaa, openSUSE Member: GNOME Team. awafaa@opensuse.org | http://opensuse.org/GNOME openSUSE: Get It, Discover It, Create It at http://www.opensuse.org http://www.wafaa.eu --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I initially wanted to stay silent as I have nothing ready yet, but part of my GSoC project is creation of SPEC editor with some magic sprinkles on top, so perhaps you wanna work with that not to re-duplicate effort? :) My JID is same as my email address, so feel free to poke :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

FYI, MonoDevelop will also have a .spec file editor as part of our build service integration. However, it'll need to be GTK#-based, so unless you switch to Mono there's no way we can share things at this level :( -- Michael Hutchinson http://mjhutchinson.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I had open a project at SF.net for "rpm spec editor", code is only aviable in svn branch, at this time it can use template and edit existing template, as soon as possible i will simply add the "new template" function" and that's should be all. SF project : https://sourceforge.net/projects/rpmspecmanager Browse sources : http://rpmspecmanager.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/rpmspecmanager/ Get sources : svn co https://rpmspecmanager.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rpmspecmanager rpmspecmanager --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
