[opensuse-buildservice] qtwebkit missing from K:R:46 and K:R:47 repos?
Hi, seems that at some time after thursday, qtwebkit was removed from K:R:46 *and* K:R:47... therefor generating TONS of build errors and dependency problems... could that be reverted please? preferrably soon? thanks, MH -- gpg key fingerprint: 5F64 4C92 9B77 DE37 D184 C5F9 B013 44E7 27BD 763C -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
seems that at some time after thursday, qtwebkit was removed from K:R:46 *and* K:R:47... therefor generating TONS of build errors and dependency problems... Well, this change only happened yesterday and is due to the change of the KDE:Qt repo (which is being tracked by both K:R:46 and K:R:47 repo's). could that be reverted please? As indicated above, it will be resolved as soon as the qtwebkit package has finished rebuilding.
preferrably soon? Well, We have chosen the weekend for this update as that it would least impact the repositories, etc. As that the version number of libQtWebKit4 will be 2.1.90 and the older version was 4.7.4, we might need some extra time to ensure that everything works well. The target is that we are not ending up with version numbers like libQtWebKit4-4.7.4-actually-2.1.90, etc.

So what exactly is the average user supposed to do? add the K:Qt repo to all opensuse installations? and what about any OBS project that uses K:R:46, should that add K:Qt as well? or do i just wait a bit longer, and then it'll be ok again? bye, MH Am Sonntag 25 September 2011 schrieb Raymond Wooninck:

Well, the average user doesn't do anything, but I also assume that you are not the average user as that you were complaining about both K:R:46 and K:R:47.
add the K:Qt repo to all opensuse installations? No. And I never implied that. I tried to explain what was going on, so that you were aware of upcoming changes. But maybe this was wrong and I should have left you in the dark.
or do i just wait a bit longer, and then it'll be ok again?
KDE:Release:XX is being build on top of KDE:Qt, it pulls into the Qt4 packages automatically from KDE:Qt and this is what caused the unresolvables. The qtwebkit package is being rebuild at the moment and that should retrigger the build of the indicated repo's which would resolve the unresolvables. So the average user doesn't do anything at the moment and just waits till the next update. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

So the average user doesn't do anything at the moment and just waits till the next update. The "average user" has waited, qtwebkit has failed to build because of a disk full on the obs instance building it, the whole K:R:46 has been rebuilt against some incompatible qtwebkit from the base OSS repo, and kde fails to start because kded segfaults during login.
