Hi all,
I think we had this topic before (2019, AFAICS), so maybe there is an update on this:
How can I safely convert an existing package into a link / branch package? Without losing any changes on the "to be converted" package?
Back then the only options were "osc branch -f" or manually creating the _link file. Is this still valid?
Kind Regards, Johannes
Hi Johannes, I usually do a local check-out. Then I move the folder to a name.sic to keep my stuff save. Then I branch the package and do a check-out again. Then you can copy your stuff from the name.sic folder into the branched package and commit. I am not aware of any other safe way to do that.
