[opensuse-buildservice] recommended workflow for updating a service

Hi, given one has created a download service with osc add URL, and adjusted that to mode="disabled" and added a recomression, what is the recommended workflow to update this to a new upstream release, apart from vi _service, adjust, versions, run disabled service, sha256sum the new file, update _service, and run is again..
