I'm cross posting to opensuse-java and buildservice since the buildservice users may be able to provide some guidance. So the ant package on SLE is failing to build with this 'Type mismatch' error which I believe is related to GCC Bug 35410. I checking out devel:gcc/gcc43 now, and downloading the sles sdk cd, so I can verify whether that's the issue. If this turns out to be the issue I'll open a bug/SR with SUSE and try out the patch I've linked below, but what can *we* do in the meantime to get ant building in OBS, which in turn will provide us with a working tomcat7?
