if you open the log of an old very long build, it might be undesired to jump down to the end. maybe a button would be the best for that.
A default download of only the last XXX lines/bytes would be helpfull for very long logfiles. Or in general, because you may only be interessted in the error.

in generel yes. i am not sure we handle range requests nicely in api. -> to be checked but not today!
