BTW, config.log says cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-fstack-protector" this compiler option wasn't there on 10.0, you should build without it on 10.0.
Thanks for taking time to reply!
The information above helped (a bit). I left out the "-fstack-protector" option with a "%if" in the spec file. The build now almost completes, but at the end it fails with:
/usr/lib64/libadns.a: could not read symbols: Bad value collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [libwireshark.la] Error 1
(this is for 10.0, for 10.1 the build completes). I don't have the i586 results yet.
The 10.0-i586 version finishes fine now :)
libadns-devel is pulled in by the spec file.
I tried to build the package for 10.0-x86_64 with CFLAGS="-fPIC" ./configure [...] (by an advice in a personal email). But the build still failed. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
