I have problems getting the kernel panic to the serial console. I boot with "console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0 3" and I see all the boot messages on the other machine. But now I have to undock the laptop and I have to connect the serial cable directly to the laptop (this plug is covered when in docking station) After this, I do not get any new console messages on the other machine (I tried to plug a USB stick which generates a message). I also have a USB serial console adapter, which could be plugged in all the time, but the kernel parameter console=ttyUSB0,115200 does not show any bootup messages at all.
