All services except VMWare bridging are disabled. It is setup as a bridged connection in VMNet. This NIC is connected to my ISP's bridge which supplies DHCP services (for one NIC). The statically assigned addresses, em2 and em9 are working fine. em19 on 13.2 is also able to obtain a DHCP address, which is what I am using to communicate with. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

As far as the host, nothing changed. I can stop the LEAP vm and start the 13.2 vm which works perfectly. No VMNet changes have been made, I'm still running the host on Win8.1 and VMWorkstation 11.2. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'll get to collecting the data later today.

Because it discards the "AUTO" setting which it cannot parse, see bellow.
No VMNet changes have been made, I'm still running the host on Win8.1 and VMWorkstation 11.2.
I guess, it is the DHCLIENT_CLIENT_ID="AUTO" (<client-id>AUTO</client-id> in config-dump.log) in the /etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp or ifcfg-em19. The parsing of the setting was broken (< ~0.6.26) and quite often discarded in favor of a default type+mac based client-id. Now, the parsing of this variable (inclusive of the attic "cooked" format) is fixed and "AUTO" is passed to the dhcp server, which does not like it and ignores the request. So please try out to reset to the default DHCLIENT_CLIENT_ID="" first. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I made sure the dhcp variable was set to "" and rebooted. Still same issue. I then changed the wait time for DHCP to 5 seconds in /etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp, now DHCP addresses and static addresses are not set. I think I will go back to the last snapshot and try the upgrade again. Perhaps there may be a newer version out there. I'll report back. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Reverted to 13.2, enabled network for internet and upgraded. Now none of my three NICs are working. em19 - DHCP to ISP bridge em9 - Fixed IP internal em2 - Fixed IP bridged to LAN -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

After a couple of reboots, the fixed IP's are being assigned. However, the DHCP is not. I opened Webmin and it reports that em19 is "not active". I looked at everything I could in the wicked command, but I don't see where it is not active. Any further ideas? The only thing I see in journal is that DHCP retrieval is in progress. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Well I understand your frustration but consider that: a) it is holiday season b) issue does not seem to have impact on many users -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

The issue appears on 42.1 LEAP and, I believe, on an October release of Tumbleweed. Not sure what the issue is, but if I DISABLE the adapter in the host (Windows 8.1x), then re-enable it, 'wicked' can then obtain a DHCP address from the ISP. This is a workaround, but as long as it works, I am fine with it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
