For me it's happening only on 'Main Repository (OSS)' and 'Main Update Repository' when I select the repositories under View drop-down list. This is what's happening on my system: Select 'Main Repository (OSS)', click on any checkbox of any either installed or not installed package, system hangs with high CPU load for 5 sec then crash. Select 'Main Update Repository', click on any checkbox of any either installed or not installed package and it crashes instantly. Obviously I've several additional repo added but I disabled them, also reinstalled YaST2. I try to find out what's going on and I attach several result although not sure if my research would be worthwhile in this case. In my case, I have the repo configured to keep packages. So I just looked in the package cache (which I share with several Tumbleweed systems). Bad move! Having a go at me. Just saying. Secondly, blessed? Ain’t no one blessed to use a free distro. Why shouldn’t it be free? Blessed would be when the the bug is not present to begin with. Thirdly, I posted that comment in frustration, because I had over 60 packages selected when it then crashed. So pardon me for being human and being frustrated. Lastly, I can’t help now because I decided to delete openSUSE and use a different distro that doesn’t force close its package manager. This bug made me hate openSUSE and made me switch for good to something else. Have a good one, byeeee -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

You are going to intoxicate anyone you encounter in life and I feel sorry for them. I said it was a bad move to have a go at me before because I have a lot of time on my hands and I will keep posting and trolling if I so feel the need to. Option A: Everyone either ignores me (recommende) or Option B: keep replying and I’ll keep replying and this will go way off topic and out of hand Choose wisely. I’d go with the first option. So at step #7 you simply close YaST. (In reply to Pete D from comment #16) No offense, even if you've money to pay others it's better for you to learn not harassing them with your complacency, especially when you asking for help. I haven't tried the older library suggested by others in this thread yet, as zypper and ncurses yast have been working. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

So I can confirm this is a very real bug and not a consequence of a bad combination of libyui-xxx packages. It seems to happen when YaST calls UI.OpenDialog under some circumstances, which certainly looks like it could be related to the latest change in libyui-qt (special handling of the heading in some dialogs). https://github.com/libyui/libyui-qt/pull/133/files In my case, it does not produce a crash, but a hang (I have to kill YaST). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
