[Bug 899118] Kerberized Printing to Windows AD Print Server/Share
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=899118 --- Comment #24 from Lars Müller <lmuelle@suse.com> --- (In reply to Joschi Brauchle from comment #23)
(In reply to Benjamin Brunner from comment #22)
Everything, including samba, permissions and talloc, builds now in openSUSE:Maintenance:3817.
Just a small question: As 'samba-krb-printing' fails to RPM-verify with an 'old' permissions package installed, should it possibly depend/require the 'new' version of the permissions package?
No, this is a build time check which results in the warning.
Will samba-krb-printing install correctly if a users decides to not update the permissions package?
It will get installed correctly. But the permissions mechanism later might overwrite the initially correctly set permission set. Those pulling in an incomplete patch set by installing samba-krb-printing while not applying the update available to the pernmissions package decided to do so with intention. @Benni: Thanks for pushing it forward. If possible please add a warning like: Please ensure to install the ernmissions package available with this update too to ensure the samba-krb-printing gets the required permission set applied. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
