[Bug 1208978] Xorg coredumps with Kernel 6.2.1-1
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1208978 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1208978#c12 --- Comment #12 from Santiago Zarate <santiago.zarate@suse.com> --- So after a lot of fiddling, I installed the Open driver, and /or the system is running using Wayland. performance is... another story:
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate. 292 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.298 FPS 291 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.178 FPS 284 frames in 5.0 seconds = 56.792 FPS 291 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.198 FPS 295 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.829 FPS 296 frames in 5.0 seconds = 59.189 FPS
In the end had to: fully remove all drivers, install them again: foursixnine@tyr:~> zypper se -s --installed-only nvidia

modify the line you mentioned in your blog and:
prime-select service restore prime-select boot nvidia
with Secure Boot disabled
mokutil --sb-state SecureBoot disabled
Now, on my other machine, I can't remember if I have secure boot enabled or disabled, but system booted without problems, I wonder if it's problem with this particular model... Stefan, would you need more feedback from me? as for the initial problem, for me it's gone after the full switch, -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
