So after a lot of fiddling, I installed the Open driver, and /or the system is
running using Wayland.

performance is... another story:

> Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be
> approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
> 292 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.298 FPS
> 291 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.178 FPS
> 284 frames in 5.0 seconds = 56.792 FPS
> 291 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.198 FPS
> 295 frames in 5.0 seconds = 58.829 FPS
> 296 frames in 5.0 seconds = 59.189 FPS

In the end had to:

fully remove all drivers, install them again:

modify the line you mentioned in your blog and:

> prime-select service restore
> prime-select boot nvidia

with Secure Boot disabled

> mokutil --sb-state
> SecureBoot disabled

Now, on my other machine, I can't remember if I have secure boot enabled or
disabled, but system booted without problems, I wonder if it's problem with
this particular model...

Stefan, would you need more feedback from me? as for the initial problem, for
me it's gone after the full switch,
