As a standard test, run the following on a terminal: % aplay foo.wav % aplay -Dplughw:0 foo.wav If both of them don't work, run alsa-info.sh script in /usr/share/doc/packages/alsa with --no-upload option, and attach the generated file here. For example, /usr/share/sounds/alsa/test.wav. One problem I can see is that you didn't raise "Analog XXX" volumes. They are set to 0 right now. Raise them via alsamixer. First try without any module option. Use as clean as possible. If it still doesn't work with aplay (not speaker-test), attach alsa-info.sh output again. And, don't forget to reset NEEDINFO flag after you provide the requested information. Otherwise I won't notice it's changed soon. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I am testing now the openSuse 11.1 beta 4 but the same thing...no sound. I have tried like before without the asound-pulse.conf file and with the subsystem=0x10121102 and work. So no patch was made to fix the issue. Now, please check whether recording works. At least, check whether subsystem=0x10121102 hack doesn't break things. Once after it's confirmed, I'll create a patch to add the entry to the known device list.
