However, according to the Liberation Fonts project[1], the latest version is 1.04. As being discussed in this Factory mailinglist thread [http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2008-11/msg00049.html], the version in Factory should be more up-to-date. Blurred characters in Sans and Sans Bold and bad spacing in Sans Bold are especially visible with native hinting enabled, which is default in openSUSE. If significantly complicates reading of texts and I am forced to reopen this bug. For example letter "ý" in Liberation Sans is visually cut in a half (in fact, the right part of the letter is extremely light and invisible). Several other letters are very poorly rendered, e. g. Version 0.1 renders best for size 13. Submitting version 1.0.3.
