[Bug 1182235] New: split pcre testsuite in a separate RPM package
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1182235 Bug ID: 1182235 Summary: split pcre testsuite in a separate RPM package Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: radoslav.kolev@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 846110 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=846110&action=edit patch against SLE15-SP2 Hello! As part of the SUSE automotive project we have a requirement to re-run package testsuites on the actual hardware, not just during build phase inside OBS. To do this the testuite files need to be packaged separately and installed on the target system. I've attached a patch against the pcre.spec version in SLE15-SP2 that we currently use, it will be great if such a change can be included upstream. Please advise if this is an acceptable approach to be included into Factory or some adjustments are needed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

What do you mean "upstream"?!? As per Factory first policy this change should not even have been made in SLE15-SP2 without being made in Factory. Just submit it to openSUSE! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

For those changes that are acceptable for Factory we try to get them included and this one seems like such to me. Just wanted to get the opinion of pcre package maintainer if such a change seems acceptable and if not how it could be adapted. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
