[Bug 572321] New: Powerdevil doesn't toggle between, AC Adapter is plugged in or not
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=572321 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=572321#c0 Summary: Powerdevil doesn't toggle between, AC Adapter is plugged in or not Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: linuxuser09@gmx.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=337723) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=337723) dmidecode output User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100105 SUSE/3.6rc1-143.2 Firefox/3.6 When I unplug my AC Adapter, it doesn't change to battery, instead, says it's still charging. It doesn't change power states because of this and I don't get a notification when my battery runs out. I ran 'acpi' and reports back properly when the AC Adapter is online or offline. So I would think it's not a 'acpi' issue? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Unplug or plug in AC Adapter 2. 3. Actual Results: Continues to say it's still charging Expected Results: Toggle between when the AC adapter is plugged in or not -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Is this still a problem in 4.3.5?
Don't know about 4.3.5, but it does continue to exist in 4.4.2. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Fixed on my 11.3 KDE 4.4.4 "release 2". It was reported to KDE upstream.
Negative. Bug still persists on my 11.3 x86_64 KDE 4.4.4 release 2. / Sony VAIO VGN-CS17G -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

OK, on my Toshiba Tecra A11 works fine. Is it usefull to continue to reopen this bug on openSuse Bugzilla? Can openSuse correct this bug, or it is possible only in KDE upstream? If openSuse cannot repair it (noone did until now), I think this bug should be forwarded to upstream (KDE) bugzilla (was already done) and closed in Novell bugzilla with RESOLVED UPSTREAM. http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Bug_Screening_KDE Or do you thing this is specific bug only of openSuse? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
