--- Comment #15 from Egbert Eich
You can go ahead and include them in the package. I don't have any preferences. I just got involved as that plasma5-desktop didn't build due to this issue and Stephan Kulow asked me to have a look at it.
Thanks for your help.
Raymond, thanks! I will go ahead, then. Please don't get us wrong for insisting on applying our standards here. Currently the processes for dealing with SLE community packages are not really established as coolo is still trying to solve a lot of issues. But I assume at some point fixes needed for the community packages will have to be folded over, if approved by the project maintainers. As we have reviewed the changes and didn't find any reasons why they should not be included in SLE12 we should prepare everything in a way which makes an inclusion into SLE12 easy and doesn't require us to revisit the issue. One word about our guidelines: They are different than what openSUSE does for most projects, this is not we insist on being different but we had these guidelines long before openSUSE established its own. Moreover they are meant to maintain an oversight over a huge number of patches which we will get in the enterprise product over time. They are mostly derived from what we do for the kernel at (open)SUSE. Thanks for all your good work! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
