And in the situation above, it is just not possible to fix NetworkManager.service. The the deadlock is inevitable as long as autofs.service blocks logins until it can load its maps just because there *might* be map on a NIS server.
Nothing *might* ... this is the widespread use case for autofs. E.g. my home directory as well as my login credentials are spreaded via NIS. It makes no sense if my home directory is not mountable at login. IMHO NetworkManager.service has to be fixed for this use case.
