[Bug 1137129] New: yast2 crashes with a core dump
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1137129 Bug ID: 1137129 Summary: yast2 crashes with a core dump Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: joe@suse.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- As of today's Tumbleweed on both a more or less freshly installed and a very long-running system I have crashes with a variation of: yast2 Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keyInvalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keyqt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display :0 qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found. qt.qpa.plugin: Could not find the Qt platform plugin "wayland" in "" This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. Available platform plugins are: wayland-org.kde.kwin.qpa, eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, xcb. /sbin/yast2: line 461: 14539 Aborted (core dumped) $y2ccbin $Y2UI_ARGS "$@" Before the last big update, this only happened on the newly installed machine. This is on a Gnome default (new box) and a Gnome default plus several KDE applications system. I haven't tested with a KDE install yet. My uneducated guess is that yast2 requires more Qt than installed in the current default patterns for Gnome. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
