Using Thinkpad E595 AMD 3700u. Selecting Gnome login option. ( the X11 versions all work like classic etc ) The screens goes to black for a second or two after clicking login button, the mousepointer seems to freeze and then I'm back at the login screen. So "coredumpctl" could give some hint here, and usually the coredump file could be found in /var/lib/systemd/coredump/. It makes sense to upload the most recent core dumps somewhere (depending on the file size). In the log I find the keyboard layout is still "se", it was not changed.

I also created another user with another home folder, same result. I changed the keyboard layout but probably run the supportconfig out of order, sorry about that. I uploaded messages.txt again after new test with US keyboard. Same result, unable to login option Gnome. I'm thinking I will download the ISO and do a fresh install again. which looks like https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/merge_requests/47/diffs?commit... to me. This upstream fix is shipped in xorg-server 1.20.4, a newer version than that in Leap 15.3 (1.20.3). I've put together a temporary fix at https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:yudaike:branches:SUSE:SLE-15-SP.... Would you please check if that makes any difference? After installation (not GNOME Live) it seems I could not log in (there was no error message, just the GNOME login reappeared after having entered use and password), when in fact wayland had crashed (AMD Ryzen 4700 in a Lenovo E15 2nd gen). I managed to log in using the setting "GNOME with X11". There should be some useful indication to the user if wayland crashed. I installed server, server-extra and server-wayland from https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/yudaike:/branches:/SUSE:/SL... I am able to login into option Gnome now. So that works. Another new problem that might need to be reported in new bug is that Welcome screen and my pwd manager application, not Firefox though, haven't tested more apps yet, are rendered as "see through". I only see the outer see through "3D" frame of the window. There is no content at all. Will test more tomorrow or friday.
