[Bug 1019927] New: When connected via a proxy, both wifi and ethernet icons in the top-bar remain in the "limited" ("?") state
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1019927 Bug ID: 1019927 Summary: When connected via a proxy, both wifi and ethernet icons in the top-bar remain in the "limited" ("?") state Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: badshah400@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 710048 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=710048&action=edit Screenshot showing "?" icon for wifi when I am fully connected I am at a place right now where I have to use a proxy to connect to the network. I find that both the wired and wifi icons in the top-bar remain in the "?" state indicating limited connectivity, although I am fully connected to the network and am actually writing this bug report, for instance ;) This isn't a gnome-shell problem, but more of an NM problem, because I also find nmcli thinks the connectivity is limited (it is not): :~> nmcli g STATE CONNECTIVITY WIFI-HW WIFI WWAN-HW WWAN connected (site only) limited enabled enabled enabled enabled Perhaps something to do with the portal capture check that NM now does? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
