[Bug 1004550] Plugged-in USB Device Prevents Loading RamDisk and Machine Hangs Indefinitely on Boot
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1004550 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1004550#c4 --- Comment #4 from Itai Danan <idanan@yahoo.com> --- Both GRUB and the BIOS seem to be working fine, at least they work and respond. Only OpenSUSE 42.1 stops booting with the device plugged in. With 13.2 before, I did not have that issue. Maybe this will give a hint: When the machine boot successfully - so without an extra USB device - I still get an error but the system boots. It says: usb can't set config error -28 Otherwise, I did try what you suggested and you are right. I get a lot of kernel output when booting without initrd. What should I look for in there that could help? For some reason, having initrd supresses the output, even without the quiet flag. Thanks in advance. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
