Comment # 4 on bug 1004550 from Itai Danan

Both GRUB and the BIOS seem to be working fine, at least they work and respond.
Only OpenSUSE 42.1 stops booting with the device plugged in. With 13.2 before,
I did not have that issue.

Maybe this will give a hint: When the machine boot successfully - so without an
extra USB device - I still get an error but the system boots. It says:

     usb can't set config error -28

Otherwise, I did try what you suggested and you are right. I get a lot of
kernel output when booting without initrd. What should I look for in there that
could help? For some reason, having initrd supresses the output, even without
the quiet flag.
